Innocence and Justice Project at New Mexico School of Law Funding Request
Grant writing is a team effort, and the grant below is no exception. The grant was written by four members of my English 418 class and we worked as a team to divide the work. My contribution was the budget section.
In writing the budget I made sure to appeal to the Ford Foundation using both pathos and logos. To make my appeal to pathos, I made it clear how expensive competent legal counsel is, making it impossible for the poor to afford representation. For the appeal to logos I made it known that every element of the IJP At NMSOL is vital to the success of their mission.
