In the planning of my wedding I needed to tell my groomsmen what they are expected to wear for the ceremony. Not wanting to bore them with a simple email or letter, I decied to try my hand at creating a fun layout, using the open source desktop publishing software Scribus, and the single page Groomsmen Attire Manual was born. My inspiration came from military dress regulations, however I wanted my groomsmen to actually enjoy reading the document, so I took used some creativity in crafting the document. The fonts were specifically chosen because of their paramilitary look, and I wrote the instructions as if I were giving orders for an upcoming mission. The Groomsmen Attire Manual is embedded below.
